Job summary

Network Designs, Inc. (NDi) seeks an IT Asset Management Specialist to support the lifecycle management, tracking, and disposition of enterprise IT assets within a large government-oriented IT environment in Washington, DC.

This role maintains asset records, coordinates movement, and supports inventories and audits. The ideal candidate has an associate degree or equivalent experience, strong documentation skills, and experience with IT asset management platforms such as BMC Remedy, CMDB, or

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in IT, logistics, information systems, or a related field, or at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with IT asset management, inventory control, or IT logistics.
• Ability to maintain accurate asset records and documentation.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with enterprise asset systems (e.g., CMDB, ITSM).

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records for IT hardware and technology assets through the full lifecycle.
• Process asset intake, assignment, transfer, recovery, excess, and disposition.
• Track equipment location, status, and configuration in asset management systems.
• Coordinate issuing and recovery during onboarding and offboarding.
• Support inventories, reconciliations, and periodic audits.
• Produce lifecycle, audit, and compliance reports.
• Collaborate with Service Desk, engineering, security, logistics and other IT teams.
• Follow IT asset management processes and security controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve asset accuracy and efficiency.
