Job summary

Wellmark, Inc. is seeking an Asset Management Specialist to handle daily software and hardware requests, ensure licensing compliance, and maintain asset management data. You will work across IT teams to track assets and support audits.

The role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Prior asset management and cloud experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of IT asset management exposure or related internship.
• Ability to translate technical specs to non-technical docs.
• Experience with cloud/SaaS environments and licensing concepts.
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder relationship building.
• Excellent attention to detail and disciplined data management.
• Effective planning, prioritization and adaptability to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Process software-related work orders following documented procedures and ensure data integrity.
• Process hardware-related work orders for virtual and physical assets per licensing terms.
• Collaborate with technology teams to track software/hardware assets and validate locations.
• Monitor system logs and address issues with team members.
• Coordinate software audits for assets both on-prem and in SaaS/cloud environments.
• Assist with license reviews, renewals, and reclamations as needed.
• Back up other asset management team members and take on additional duties.
