Bizzell US is hiring a meticulous and organized IT Asset/Inventory Specialist to oversee the complete lifecycle management of FOH’s IT assets. This role supports the government’s need for precise asset tracking and efficient inventory controls covering hardware, software licenses, telecom assets, and network circuits.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy of FOH’s Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and ensuring compliance with HHS policies for asset accountability.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Lifecycle Management

• Track all IT assets from acquisition through deployment, maintenance, retirement, and disposal.
• Maintain asset records including make/model, serial numbers, locations, purchase details, and warranty information.

Software License Tracking

• Maintain centralized records for software licenses, including user counts, activation keys, expiration dates, and compliance status.
• Support reconciliation of software usage with license entitlements and assist in internal audits.

Telecom & Network Inventory

• Manage asset data for cellular, VoIP, analog, and broadband equipment and circuits.
• Support coordination with telecom vendors and HHS OCIO for upgrades, replacements, and repairs.

Inventory Audits & Reporting

• Perform routine and ad hoc audits of IT hardware and software inventories across FOH locations.
• Provide monthly asset inventory reports and support government-directed reconciliation efforts.
• Assist in excessing of outdated or broken equipment according to federal property management policies.

Tool & System Management

• Maintain accuracy of the CMDB and/or any IT Asset Management (ITAM) tools in use (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Collaborate with Configuration Manager to align asset data with configuration items.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in IT asset or inventory management.
• Proficient in spreadsheet tools and asset tracking platforms (Excel, ServiceNow, etc.).
• Familiarity with federal property management policies or HHS-specific asset protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on federal IT contracts or with HHS.
• ITIL or CompTIA A+ certification.
• Experience supporting audits or maintaining license compliance documentation.
• Knowledge of telecom infrastructure and service contract tracking.

Work Environment

• Core hours between 7AM–6PM EST; hybrid with periodic on-site presence in Rockville, MD.
• May require light physical work such as tagging and verifying hardware assets on location.
