Job summary

Custom Computer Specialists is seeking an IT operations specialist to manage asset lifecycle, deploy and refresh end-user devices, and ensure accurate inventory records across Long Island and NYC locations. This role offers growth opportunities and exposure to enterprise device deployments.

You will coordinate staging, configuration, and delivery, while providing Day 2 support and maintaining strong customer service with internal teams and clients.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in supporting computer hardware deployments, asset management, or technology refresh projects.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate enterprise technology refresh and end-of-life replacement projects for switches, access points, and other endpoint devices.
• Stage, configure, asset tag, test, and prepare equipment for deployment.
• Deploy replacement equipment and recover retired devices with minimal disruption.
• Perform equipment setup and post-deployment verification for production readiness.
• Assist with inventory audits, reconciliation, and warehouse organization.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, serial numbers, warranty information, and lifecycle documentation.
• Travel across Long Island and NYC for project support and HQ coordination.
