The Ohio Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is seeking an entry-level IT apprentice to support the assigned IT program area in Columbus, OH. You will work under guidance to learn database administration basics, monitor databases, patching, and handle customer requests while attending relevant training courses.

You will gain exposure to SQL, scripting, change management policies, and documentation practices, contributing to ongoing IT projects and operational support within a government

Qualificações

• 1 course or 2 months experience in Information Systems/Information Technology, or a related field including but not limited to: Software Engineering/Development, Data Analytics/Business Intelligence, Database Administration, Network, IT Security and Help Desk/Customer Support
• Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with daily tasks such as database server and activity monitoring, database maintenance and patching, and completing customer requests.
• Learn IT Change Management policies and procedures and assist documenting database inventory, process flows and procedures.
• Build foundational knowledge of database management concepts and SQL and scripting.
