Job summary

Dallas City Hall is seeking an IT Applications Program Administrator to manage the application support ecosystem for multiple city departments, spanning cloud and on‑prem environments. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5 years of IT experience, and 3 years of supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Development, Information Technology or related field.
Five years of IT experience plus three years of supervisory responsibilities.
Equivalencies allowed for education/experience combinations.
Experience with application development or administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage the application support ecosystem for assigned departments, cloud and on-prem environments.
Oversee day-to-day work of IT managers and teams, including training and performance reviews.
Guide deployments, upgrades, migrations, and integration activities across systems.
Ensure compliance with security standards, data management policies, and infrastructure requirements.
Utilize AI-driven tools to improve troubleshooting and reduce escalations in the support portfolio.
Develop plans for availability, performance, and configuration management across environments.
