Select Custom Solutions in La Crosse, WI seeks an IT Applications Manager to lead the development, support, and strategic evolution of our ERP and business applications. You will guide a team, coordinate with analysts and owners, and drive projects from requirements to delivery, ensuring reliable, secure platforms and robust data reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration or related field; equivalent mix of education/experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting software development processes (SDLC).
• At least 1 year in a supervisory/lead role; ERP experience such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar.
• Strong programming skills in C#.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript; solid SQL/Transact-SQL/database knowledge.
• Experience integrating ERP with other applications via APIs and Power BI knowledge.
• Understanding of core business areas: Accounting, Supply Chain, Manufacturing; enterprise app development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and oversee development, support, and enhancement of business applications including ERP, custom in-house, other apps, and reporting solutions.
• Provide leadership and day-to-day supervision to the IT applications team.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business owners to plan enhancements; estimate effort and manage timelines.
• Ensure application support activities meet day-to-day business needs.
• Oversee platforms to ensure reliability, security, and maintenance.
• Lead data/reporting solutions for accurate, accessible information for decisions.
• Track status of enhancements and ensure requirements are defined.
• Drive planning aligned with technical strategies and future needs.
• Evolve systems, integrations, and architecture across ERP and reporting.
• Enforce standards, documentation, and governance for configuration and reporting.
• Gather requirements from IT and business teams and translate into specs.
• Mentor staff and drive performance and career development.
• Evaluate and coordinate software purchases; manage vendor relationships.
• Promote AI tools usage to improve development, support, and reporting.
• Direct departmental objectives, goals, and policies; supervise per corporate guidelines.
