Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking an experienced Software & Applications Manager to lead the development, integration, optimization, and ongoing support of enterprise business applications within a manufacturing environment.

This role will manage a team of software developers, business systems analysts, product owners, and technical resources to deliver technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, business performance, and user experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, software engineering, CS, or equivalent.
• 7–15 years in software development, enterprise applications, or application management.
• Minimum 3 years IT or software development management leading teams of five+.
• Experience with .NET, JavaScript, or similar languages.
• Experience managing JD Edwards ERP applications.
• Experience leading Agile development (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience implementing secure software development practices.
• Collaboration with data science teams on analytics and automation.
• Strong PM, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to lead technical teams and deliver business-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of developers, analysts, product owners, and architects.
• Oversee development, integration, and support of JD Edwards ERP and other enterprise apps.
• Set objectives, performance expectations, and succession plans.
• Manage budgets, external resources, and technology investments.
• Promote a collaborative, customer-focused culture centered on accountability and improvement.
• Direct software development using Agile methodologies and drive CI/CD capabilities.
• Develop roadmaps, prioritize enhancements based on business value.
• Collaborate with IT, OT, and business stakeholders to align applications with priorities.
• Establish KPIs/OKRs and dashboards to measure performance and value.
