Connect Centric, a consulting partner, is seeking an experienced IT Technology Application Trainer for a large non-profit in Washington, DC. This hybrid role focuses on IT training, instructional design, and end-user enablement for staff across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in IT training, instructional design, or education—ideally in corporate or non-profit environments.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, ERP platforms, and other business applications.
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to explain technical topics to non-technical users.
  • Familiarity with LMS is a plus.
  • Collaborative and empathetic approach to knowledge sharing.

Job Summary:

We are supporting our client, a large non‑profit organization based in Washington, DC, in their search for an experienced IT Technology Application Trainer. This opportunity is well‑suited for professionals with a solid background in IT training, instructional design, and end‑user enablement, and is ideal for candidates seeking a hybrid work arrangement based in Washington, D.C..

Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
  • Collaborate with IT and stakeholders to identify training needs and objectives.
  • Design tailored training curricula that align with organizational tools and user proficiency levels.
  • Develop engaging training materials, manuals, presentations, and e‑learning content.
Training Delivery:
  • Lead in‑person and virtual training sessions for staff at all levels.
  • Customize content to accommodate varying technical skill levels and learning styles.
  • Provide live demonstrations and hands‑on guidance during training.
  • Offer ongoing support and respond to user questions during and after sessions.
Evaluation & Feedback:
  • Measure training effectiveness through surveys, assessments, and user feedback.
  • Identify areas for improvement and revise training content accordingly.
  • Track participant progress and provide refresher training as needed.
Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain training records, attendance logs, and session feedback.
  • Generate summary reports on training effectiveness and make recommendations.
  • Document IT best practices and user guides for staff reference.
Continuous Learning:
  • Stay updated on workplace technology trends and new application features.
  • Pursue professional development through workshops, courses, and certifications.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 6+ Years of Experience in IT training, instructional design, or education—ideally in a corporate or non‑profit environment.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, ERP platforms, and other business applications.
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to explain technical topics to non‑technical users.
  • Familiarity with instructional design principles and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.
  • Collaborative and empathetic approach to knowledge sharing.

Salary: Dependent on Experience $75K - $85K
