Job summary

Duke University Health System, through its Patient Revenue Management Office (PRMO), seeks an IT Analyst to bridge Professional Billing & Collections, Duke IT, and vendors. You’ll support claims processing, AR follow-up, retro review workflows, and OnBase; translating business needs into technical requirements.

The role emphasizes system testing, Epic functionality, and reporting using Epic tools, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel to improve workflow efficiency and revenue cycle performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years’ experience equivalent to a degree.
• Four years of related experience with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills; familiarity with billing systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary liaison between PBC operational teams, Duke IT, and vendors for system enhancements.
• Analyze workflows and system functionality to identify technology-driven improvements in PBC operations.
• Gather, document, and prioritize business requirements for system enhancements and testing.
• Coordinate testing activities for Epic upgrades and revenue cycle initiatives.
• Provide ad hoc reporting and analytics using Epic tools, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.
