Job summary

The Connecticut State Library is seeking an Information Technology Analyst 1 to support, maintain, and enhance its digital platforms and business applications, including CMS, websites, and online forms. Based in Hartford with a Monday–Friday, 40-hour workweek, this hybrid role offers telework eligibility and opportunities to collaborate with vendors and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Experience administering website content management systems (CMS) and accessibility standards (WCAG/Section 508).
• Experience developing database-driven web applications using PHP, HTML and CMS platforms.
• Experience managing application security, user provisioning, and role-based access controls.
• Experience with online forms and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools.
• Experience with supporting website content publishing, accessibility compliance, and user experience improvements.

Responsibilities

• Supports and maintains public-facing CMS and digital service applications.
• Administers, configures, and troubleshoots web applications and PHP-based systems.
• Plans, tests, and implements upgrades, patches, and new releases.
• Collaborates with users, vendors, and technical teams to identify requirements and improve performance.
• Develops and maintains online forms, workflows, and digital processes.
• Manages application security, user accounts, roles, and system configurations.
• Supports publishing, information architecture, accessibility, and UX improvements.
• Monitors integrations between websites, forms, databases, and third-party systems.
• Develops and maintains documentation and user guides.
• Assists with backup validation and business continuity.
