Placer County is seeking a professional to manage portfolio and collection efforts for the County's loan programs, handling payments, deferrals, taxes, insurance, and foreclosures while coordinating with loan servicers on foreclosed properties.
The role requires knowledge of housing programs, banking procedures, and real estate documents, with strong data management and interpersonal skills. A bachelor's degree and relevant experience are expected.
Provide portfolio and collection management for County's loan programs.
Works with clients that have loans with Pasco County for issues regarding payment, deferrals, taxes, insurance, and foreclosures. Tracks, analyzes, and provides data regarding properties that the County has an interest in that may be in foreclosure. Administer collection efforts regarding delinquent loans. Interfaces with loan servicer regarding portfolio management.
Works with County Attorney and contract attorney regarding County initiated foreclosures. Provides information to citizens and groups regarding housing programs. Monitors rental housing projects for compliance with federal and state programs. Screens and prepares subordination and loan pay-off requests.
Performs related work as required.
Knowledge of state and federally funded local government housing programs. Knowledge of banking industry procedures. Knowledge of the process of purchasing homes, providing mortgages, and the foreclosure process. Possess excellent interpersonal and data management skills. Ability to understand real estate documents. Knowledge of computer applications.
PHYSICAL SKILLS:
Ability to communicate effectively using speaking, hearing, writing, and vision skills.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, or a related field. Two years of local government professional affordable housing, banking or financial experience.
A comparable amount of directly related experience MAY be substituted at the County's discretion for the minimum educational requirements if candidates are not available that fully meet the minimum requirements of the position as posted.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
