Job summary

South College of Tennessee, Inc. is seeking an IT Analyst to lead onboarding/offboarding and manage IT assets and software licenses across the institution.

You will collaborate with departments to ensure smooth processes and maintain accurate inventory and documentation. You will own software approval workflows, procurement lifecycle, and vendor relations while monitoring IT costs and aligning with institutional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field required.
• Minimum five years of IT operations and procurement experience.
• Experience in IT project management and service desk preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding and offboarding for staff, ensuring hardware, accounts, and docs.
• Maintain IT asset inventory across hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Manage software license processes, renewals, and vendor coordination.
• Oversee procurement lifecycle and hardware/software deployment and decommissioning.
• Develop and maintain IT documentation and standards.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure consistent IT processes.
• Monitor IT costs and budget for services and assets.
• Support IT initiatives and ensure reliable service delivery.

IT Analyst Responsibilities:

• Own the IT onboarding and offboarding process, ensuring new employees receive the required hardware, technology, accounts, and documentation.
• Collaborate with all relevant departments to ensure the onboarding and offboarding processes are efficient.
• Maintain a complete and accurate inventory of institutional IT assets, including hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Manage software approval workflow and associated documentation.
• Manage lifecycle processes for all technology assets, including procurement, deployment, replacement, and decommissioning.
• Own all software license management activities, including renewal tracking, compliance oversight, and vendor coordination. (Zoom, Microsoft, Adobe)
• Manage IT vendor relationships.
• Manage and monitor IT costs for all IT services, hardware, and software to ensure financial accountability and budgeting accuracy.
• Own the IT documentation process by creating, updating, and maintaining comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and institutional IT standards.
• Own the IT software and hardware procurement process, including requests, approvals, purchasing coordination, and tracking.
• Own the Software Approval process, coordinating with requestors, IT leadership, and functional stakeholders to evaluate, approve, and document software solutions.
• Support IT initiatives and projects assigned to ensure consistent standards across all technological operations.
• Collaborate with IT staff and institutional stakeholders to ensure accurate information, consistent processes, and reliable service delivery.
• Complex Cognitive activities

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

• Five years of proven experience in IT operations, IT procurement, IT project management, IT service desk, or a related role
