The Agile RTE & Program Manager II - IT Agile PMO role manages waterfall, Agile, and hybrid programs, with responsibilities including financial, scope, risk, dependency, stakeholder management, and communication with executive leadership. They ensure the execution of complex IT programs, potentially leading a team of project managers and Scrum Masters, and play a key role in Agile transformation by coaching teams and leaders.

Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at core locations and 2 remote days. Core locations include Salisbury, NC; Quincy, MA; Chicago, IL; Carlisle, PA; and Scarborough, ME.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. full-time.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage and deliver complex Agile and Waterfall programs up to $20M, minimizing risks and impacts.
  • Partner with finance and project teams to support financial processes aligned with portfolio financials.
  • Ensure compliance with project delivery methods, tools, frameworks, and controls.
  • Develop resource, timeline, and budget plans, and collaborate on dependencies.
  • Define clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities via project charters.
  • Create risk management blueprints and manage uncertainties in project launches.
  • Implement technological projects tailored to organizational needs.
  • Report progress, risks, and updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure project delivery meets stakeholder expectations.
  • Monitor project progress through meetings and KPIs, maintaining standard procedures.
  • Use dashboards for transparent communication and operational improvement.
  • Coordinate dependencies and manage cross-project tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to release management and develop deployment plans.
  • Assist in Go/No-Go decisions and stakeholder governance.
  • Lead waterfall programs and support Agile transformation, facilitating SAFe processes and ART events.
  • Mentor and coach project managers, Scrum Masters, and teams to foster Agile mindset and continuous improvement.
  • Manage dependencies across ARTs and Agile/waterfall teams.
  • Maintain backlog health and manage financial, risk, and dependency aspects of Agile teams.
  • Contribute to PMO process improvements and support transformation efforts.
  • Ensure operational stability during deployments, including off-hours support.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience and certifications.
  • 7+ years in project/program management, with 5+ years in Agile as RTE.
  • Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies, tools (Jira, Clarity).
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and ability to adapt in dynamic environments.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills, leadership in ambiguity, and excellent communication.
  • Financial acumen and ability to interpret key financial indicators.
  • Strong collaboration, relationship-building, and servant leadership skills.
  • Expertise in Agile processes, including SAFe framework.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree (MBA or similar).
  • Agile/SAFe certification.
  • Experience managing agile, SAFe, Scrum teams, and retail experience is a plus.

Salary Range varies by location, e.g., ME/NC/PA/SC: $108,880 - $163,320; IL/MA/MD: $125,200 - $187,800.
