Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in computer science or related field
• 2+ years IT experience, preferably in public education
• Experience in managing information systems activities and acceptable use agreements
• Willingness to attend training to stay updated with current technology and systems

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of a district plan for user security requirements
• Monitor user access reports and notify ITS supervisors of inconsistencies
• Provide support to teachers, administrators, and district staff in provisioning and managing software system access
• Investigate suspicions of unauthorized access, system breaches, and other security concerns
• Track and record staff with elevated systems access privileges
• Help develop training modules for end users on computer security
• Assist with audits of security logs and communicate findings to administrators
• Provide input on district security policy recommendations
• Assist in developing short- and long-range plans for operational functions
• Determine network access requirements and access control for vendors and non-district personnel
• Enforce procedures regarding application and network access activities
• Assist with electronic filtering activities
• Perform other related duties as assigned
