Job summary

South Coast Baptist College is seeking an experienced IST Endpoint Administrator to join our Information Systems & Technologies team. You will take ownership of the College's endpoint environment, ensuring devices and services are secure, reliable and fit for purpose.

Working with the Director of IST and the team, you will administer endpoint management platforms, support Windows, macOS, iOS and ChromeOS, and contribute to technology planning and procurement.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years in a similar IT systems/endpoint/admin role preferred.
• Certifications such as Microsoft, Apple, Google or ITIL are desirable.
• Commitment to professional, customer-focused technology support.

IST Endpoint Administrator

Full-Time | 1.0 FTE | Permanent

Take ownership of the technology that supports teaching, learning and business operations across a growing Christian College.

South Coast Baptist College is seeking an experienced IST Endpoint Administrator to join our Information Systems & Technologies (IST) team.

This role manages the College’s endpoint environment, ensuring devices, systems and technology services are secure, reliable and fit for purpose. Working closely with the Director of Information Systems & Technologies and the broader IST team, you will provide technical expertise and support across the College.

About the role

Working as part of our IST team, you will:

• Manage the lifecycle, deployment and asset management of College devices.
• Administer endpoint management platforms including Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Jamf and Google Admin Console.
• Manage device security, configuration, compliance and application deployment.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services, Active Directory and Group Policy, including staff onboarding and offboarding.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support and troubleshoot complex endpoint, identity and Microsoft 365 issues.
• Contribute to technology planning, procurement, documentation and continuous improvement.
• Work collaboratively with staff, vendors and the broader IST team to deliver reliable and secure technology services.

About you

You are an experienced IT professional who enjoys solving complex technical problems and improving the way technology is managed and delivered.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated experience administering Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune and Active Directory in a production environment.
• Experience managing endpoint devices within a centrally managed environment.
• Experience supporting Windows, macOS, iOS and ChromeOS devices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
• Experience using scripting or automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work with users of varying technical knowledge.
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative IST team.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• A willingness to learn, adapt to new technologies and respond positively to feedback.
• An awareness of current and emerging technologies and cybersecurity practices.
• Experience working within an education environment will be highly regarded.

Essential requirements

• Cert IV, Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum two years' experience in a similar IT systems, endpoint or technical administration role is preferred.
• Relevant industry certifications, such as Microsoft, Apple, Google or ITIL certifications, are desirable.
• Commitment to providing a high standard of professional and customer-focused technology support.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, secure and responsible technology environment.
