Job summary

Moog seeks an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support the Information Security Manager in operating, accrediting, maintaining, and auditing classified IS. The role requires coordination with RMF/ATO processes, CM changes, and DoD security requirements, based at our East Aurora, NY headquarters with on-site scheduling.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in Information Assurance, RMF/DAAPM/NISPOM, and hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools and PowerShell

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Information Systems, or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Information Assurance.
• Knowledge of DAAPM, NISPOM Rule, JSIG, ICD 503, RMF, and NIST Special Publications.
• Proficiency with vulnerability scanning, auditing, SIEM, DLP, and hardening tools such as Nessus, SCC, USB Device Control, STIGs, Windows GPOs, and PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, update, and maintain RMF documentation such as ATO packages, SSPs, RARs, SOPs, and POA&Ms for all classified networks and systems.
• Perform regular auditing, updating, and continuous monitoring of the bootable IS to ensure security controls are implemented and maintained per RMF/ATO.
• Maintain complete inventory of IS including software and peripheral hardware.
• Assist Data Transfer Agents and Facility Security Officer to perform file transfers per AFT policy.
• Coordinate with ISSM, SCA, and AO for CM changes and modifications to IS software/hardware.
• Identify and assess device classification risks and determine risk mitigation safeguards.
• Schedule, perform, and maintain records of IS auditing, patching, and scanning per evolving threats.
• Work with System Administrators to configure/maintain IT components to comply with DISA STIGs and DoD requirements.
• Ensure ISs are operated, maintained, and disposed of per security policies.
