Job summary

Synergy ECP seeks a qualified ISSO to support information assurance activities for a program handling sensitive information. The role requires implementing security policies, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining compliance with RMF standards.

The candidate will work with senior ISSOs to ensure proper documentation, configuration management of security software and hardware, and ongoing security operations for classified processing environments. Fort Meade, MD-based onsite position.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years experience as an ISSO on programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline; four additional years may substitute for the degree.
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I or higher.
• Provide support to senior ISSOs for implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Assist with preparation and maintenance of documentation.
• Assist in the evaluation of security solutions to meet security requirements for processing classified information.
• Assist with the CM for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Maintain records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, and other network devices.

Responsibilities

• Supports an information assurance program for a program, organization, system, or enclave.
• Coordinates, implements, and enforces information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Maintains the operational security posture for information systems per RMF.
• Performs day-to-day security operations and evaluates security solutions for classified information.
• Prepares SSPs, Risk Assessments, C&A packages, and SRTMs.
• Supports security authorization activities in accordance with NIST RMF.
