Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to maintain the security posture of a government information system. You will work with the ISSM and ISO, oversee authorization documentation, and coordinate with AO/DAO on changes.

You will handle day-to-day security operations for Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities, perform risk assessments, reviews of system assessment plans, and ensure audit records and documentation are current.

Qualifications

• 2+ years related information security experience.
• SAP experience required.
• Prior roles include System/Network Administrator or ISSO.

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in meeting duties and responsibilities.
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages.
• Ensure procedures for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware/media.
• Notify ISSM of changes affecting authorization determinations.
• Conduct periodic reviews for compliance with the security package.
• Coordinate changes to hardware/software with ISSM and AO/DAO.
• Monitor recovery processes to restore security features.
• Ensure security documentation is current and accessible.
• Audit records are collected, reviewed, and documented.
• Attend technical and security training relevant to duties.
• Identify vulnerabilities and assist with countermeasures.
• Prepare reports on security safeguards status.
• Perform ISSO duties for internal and external customers.
