Job summary

RedTrace Technologies seeks an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) II to manage security posture for information systems at Peterson SFB, CO. The role requires a TS clearance with SCI eligibility, US citizenship, and 2–5 years of RMF package experience.

You will prepare authorization packages, maintain security docs, and coordinate with ISSM/AO to ensure compliance. The position focuses on collateral, SCI, and SAP activities within DoD environments, with duties spanning incident handling,

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of related experience in RMF packages or evidence development
• Prior experience in roles such as System/Network Administrator or ISSO
• Current U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance w/ SCI eligibility
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Strong knowledge of RMF
• DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in meeting duties and responsibilities
• Prepare, review, and update authorization packages
• Ensure procedures for clearing, sanitizing, and destroying hardware/media are in place
• Notify ISSM of changes affecting authorization determinations
• Conduct periodic reviews to ensure security authorization compliance
• Coordinate hardware/software/firmware changes with ISSM and AO/DAO
• Monitor recovery processes to ensure security features are restored
• Ensure security documentation is current and accessible
• Attend required security training relevant to duties
• Execute cyber security self-inspection and coordination
• Identify cyber security vulnerabilities and assist with countermeasures
• Prepare reports on security safeguards status
• Perform ISSO duties for in-house and external customers
