Amway is seeking an ISR Vulnerability Management Intern for Summer 2027 in Ada, MI. This office-based role requires in-person Mondays through Thursdays with Friday as a remote option.

You will contribute to vulnerability analysis, monitoring, remediation, and tool integration within a global cybersecurity team. Ideal candidates are undergrad juniors/seniors with foundational cybersecurity and IT knowledge, and familiarity with vulnerability management concepts.

Internship Job title:ISR Vulnerability Management Intern, Summer 2027

Department/Division: Technology / ISR

Hourly Range: $26.80-$28.10

Location: Ada, MI (Onsite)

*Note: This position is an office role, and you must be able to report in-person to Ada on Mondays through Thursdays, with Friday as a remote optional day
What’s special about this team:

The Vulnerability Management team supports Amway’s global technology environment, including web applications, mobile applications, infrastructure, and e-commerce systems. The team conducts global vulnerability scanning and helps developers monitor and remediate identified vulnerabilities. It also works to integrate security tools and processes into the development lifecycle and CI/CD platforms, supporting Amway’s goal of building a stronger security foundation. As the scope expands to include more applications, the team plays an important role in helping protect Amway’s technology environment and supporting secure enterprise projects.

An intern would gain hands-on experience with real vulnerability management tools and projects that directly support Amway’s global technology environment. They would also collaborate with team members across multiple countries and time zones, building valuable experience working on a global cybersecurity team.

How would an intern contribute to the team’s success:

You would help the team evaluate and more fully utilize its vulnerability management tools, with a focus on analysis, reporting, remediation, and tool integration. Their work would support the team’s expanding scope and enterprise initiatives, including the Next Gen project and its CI/CD platforms.

  • Learn and evaluate Zscaler UVM, then identify opportunities to improve how the team uses the platform for vulnerability analysis, monitoring, remediation, and reporting

  • Analyze vulnerability management information and develop ideas for improving the team’s analysis and reporting capabilities.

  • Support efforts to integrate vulnerability management and security tools into CI/CD platforms used by Next Gen projects.
Required skills and background:

Desired Majors: Information Technology, CyberSecurity

Academic Eligibility:

Undergraduate students who will have completed their junior or senior year by the start of the internship and will remain academically active through the internship, with an anticipated graduation date between August 2027 and April 2028.

Technical Skills:
  • Foundational cybersecurity knowledge, preferably through a cybersecurity-focused academic background.
  • Foundational information technology knowledge, identified as the minimum technical background.
  • Vulnerability management and scanning concepts, including vulnerability monitoring and remediation.
  • Data analysis and reporting skills applied to vulnerability management information.
  • Understanding of CI/CD platforms and security integration within the development lifecycle.
Soft Skills:
  • Global collaboration: Comfortable working with colleagues across teams, countries, time zones, and different English accents or communication styles.
  • Adaptability: Willing to explore unfamiliar tools, environments, and global ways of working.
  • Flexibility: Able to occasionally participate in an evening call when collaboration across time zones requires it
