Overview:

The A.C Coy Company has an immediate need for an ISP Network Engineer. Ideal candidates should have 10+ years of experience in networking, telecommunications, or related industries, with a strong understanding of DWDM technology.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operational issues affecting end-customer network performance
• Assist in designing customer DWDM, Transport, and IP network solutions; specify, upgrade, and configure optical equipment, switches, routers, and firewalls
• Provide Tier-3 technical support, including rotation coverage for 24/7 outages and alarms
• Administer ISP functions such as Juniper and Nokia routers, DNS, web servers, email servers, etc.
• Lead advanced networking projects including equipment specification, testing, and scheduling
• Develop enterprise-grade ISP, Transport, and Managed Service solutions tailored to customer needs
• Create and maintain documentation and training materials for engineering and service teams
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering to streamline project workflows and discuss network design issues
• Participate in new product development initiatives

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Vendor-specific networking certifications such as CCNA required

Experience

• Minimum 10 years in networking, telecommunications, or related fields
• Strong understanding of DWDM technology
• Knowledge of optical fiber characteristics
• Experience with programming languages like Python
• Preferred experience with MPLS, BGP, iBGP, OSPF, Pseudo-wire, and Metro Ethernet
