ISP Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network performance and operational anomalies affecting end‑customer connectivity.
- Serve as a high‑level escalation point for customer technical support and NOC‑reported alarms.
- Administer ISP core infrastructure, including Juniper and Nokia routers, DNS, web servers, and email servers.
- Design and implement customer IP/Transport network solutions, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Lead and manage complex network projects, including hardware specification, testing, proof‑of‑concept development, and scheduling.
- Document and train Service Operations teams on network systems and operational procedures.
- Develop enterprise‑grade ISP and Managed Service solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- Partner with Sales Engineering to streamline project workflows and engage stakeholders on solution design and implementation.
- Support the development and launch of new network products and services.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Ability to explain and communicate complex technical information to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build consensus across multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues.
- Advanced experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python.
- Experience with network automation platforms and processes is highly desired.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience in networking, telecommunications, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of optical fiber characteristics and IP transport principles.
- Proven expertise in MPLS, BGP, iBGP, OSPF, QoS, and Metro Ethernet technologies.
- Vendor‑specific certifications (e.g., JNCIP, CCNP, JNCIE, CCIE) required.
