Job summary

Michels Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. in Hubbard, TX is seeking an Engineering Project Manager - ISP to lead Outside Plant and Inside Plant engineering for data center, telecom, and fiber projects.

You will serve as the key liaison between engineering, construction, customers, and utilities to translate requirements into scalable solutions. The role requires knowledge of fiber optic networks, structured cabling, and project delivery, plus strong communication and planning skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, Civil, Construction Management, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience managing ISP engineering scopes for telecom, fiber, data center, or mission-critical projects.
• Strong understanding of fiber optic networks, structured cabling, and ISP design standards.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings, fiber routes, splice diagrams, rack layouts, and specs.
• Knowledge of carrier, utility, and telecom deployment practices and permitting.
• Design reviews, constructability evaluations, procurement planning, and issue resolution experience.
• Familiarity with CAD, GIS, Bluebeam, and project tools; Procore preferred.
• PE, RCDD, or data center infra experience preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; multi-priority management.
• Valid driver’s license; travel up to 50% and onsite support as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead ISP engineering coordination for data center, telecom, and fiber projects.
• Manage technical deliverables, reviews, and design coordination with customers and vendors.
• Review telecom drawings, fiber routes, cabling designs, splice diagrams, and specs.
• Support proposals, scope definition, budgeting, and constructability reviews.
• Identify risks and develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables to support procurement, construction, testing, and turnover.
