Job summary

General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) seeks a Process and Compliance Auditor to join the EMS Group in San Diego, CA. The role supports the Operational Excellence department by participating in process audits and corrective actions to improve non-conformances across GA-EMS sites.

The auditor will assist in audits, define scope, gather objective evidence, write reports, and coordinate with various areas to ensure process compliance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100 or other standard requirements.
• US citizenship is required.
• Frequent use and knowledge of quality management systems.
• Ability to identify and interpret data.
• Ability to develop and present detailed statistical reports.
• Strong verbal and written communication across all levels.
• Good organization and prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of computer operations and applications.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Assist in internal and external AS9100 audits and other certification audits.
• Define audit scope and audit plans; obtain objective evidence and report writing.
• Coordinate with business areas to ensure process compliance.
• Contribute to the development of procedures, instructions, and training.
• Provide management with project progress, goals and results.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
