Job summary

Maine Department of Transportation is seeking a supervisory administrative professional to oversee operational support services for the Maine State Ferry Service facility on Islesboro. You will manage terminal operations, ticketing, reservations, and fee collections while supervising ticket agents and maintaining strong customer relations.

The role requires 4 years of related experience, including supervisory duties, and includes responsibilities as the Alternate Facility Security Officer.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience, education, and/or training in complex office support work and customer service to the public.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Willingness to coordinate operations and supervise frontline staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee terminal operations, including ticket sales, reservations and fee collections.
• Manage customer relations to maintain high service levels.
• Perform duties of Alternate Facility Security Officer as needed.
• Supervise ticket agents and support staff while ensuring compliance with policies.
• Work under limited supervision and collaborate with the Maine State Ferry Service team.
