Job summary

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation seeks an Assistant Program Manager/Educator to reside at one of CBF’s Island Environmental Education Centers. The role blends program development, field-based instruction, and on-site housing during spring, summer and fall seasons.

Responsibilities include designing 3-day field programs, teaching middle to high school students, and ensuring safety and program administration while living on-site on the Island centers in Maryland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong desire to teach in the field/outdoors and inspire students daily.
• Collaborative work style is important.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Manager with developing and teaching 3-day/2-night field programs.
• Adapt content based on grade level, weather, and feedback.
• Communicate ecosystem concepts to diverse audiences.
• Plan and execute summer courses for Chesapeake Classrooms PD and Student Leadership.
