Job summary

KBR is seeking an experienced Instructional Design & eLearning Specialist to lead design, development, and deployment of training for NASA’s Flight Operations Directorate. The role merges ISD, digital media production, and technical project management to build workforce capability for Artemis and ISS missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of direct experience developing technical training/eLearning solutions.
• Portfolio demonstrating ISD deliverables, eLearning interactions, and multimedia work.
• Proficiency with authoring tools (Articulate Storyline/Rise, Camtasia) and multimedia editing tools.
• Experience applying ADDIE, storyboarding, and scriptwriting in technical environments.
• Track record of managing training projects, scheduling, milestones, and stakeholder communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with SMEs; able to meet fast-paced deadlines.
• Schedule flexibility to support critical mission surge requirements.
• Flight Operations knowledge or aerospace training experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with web technologies and structured data platforms (SharePoint Online, Wikis).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy mission‑critical training solutions (eLearning, web, classroom).
• Collaborate with SMEs, flight controllers, and engineers to perform TNA and translate requirements into assets.
• Evolve content across programs; update Artemis content alongside ISS modules for multi‑program ops.
• Coordinate core FOD content programs (Space Flight Academy, ITC, Evaluator/Mentor Modules).
• Support train‑the‑trainer initiatives for flight instructors.
