Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Instructional System Design & eLearning Specialist to lead the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical training for NASA’s Flight Operations Directorate.

This role sits at the intersection of instructional systems design, modern digital media production, and technical project management. You will collaborate with Flight Controllers, Instructors, SMEs, and video production teams to prepare astronauts and ground control teams for complex

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience developing technical training/eLearning solutions.
  • Portfolio demonstrating ISD deliverables, eLearning interactions, and multimedia work.
  • Proficiency with authoring tools (Storyline/Rise, Camtasia) and multimedia editing (Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Expertise applying ADDIE, storyboarding, and scriptwriting in technical environments.
  • Experience tracking training projects, milestones, and stakeholder communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with SME collaboration and deadline adherence.
  • Ability to occasionally support work outside standard hours for mission surge requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Apply ISD principles to design, build, and maintain interactive learning solutions (eLearning, web-based, classroom).
  • Collaborate with SMEs, flight controllers, and engineers to translate requirements into instructional assets.
  • Incorporate Artemis program content while updating ISS modules for multiple programs.
  • Coordinate core training programs such as Space Flight Academy and ITC content.
  • Support train-the-trainer initiatives for flight instructors.
