Job summary
Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Infant Special Care Unit. You will provide safe, compassionate nursing care to newborns and guide unlicensed staff.
The role uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care, with weekend rotations and shifts 7:00-19:30 and 19:00-07:30. A BSN is preferred, IL RN license, and BLS CPR certification required.
Experience in NICU/ISCU is preferred and opportunities for professional growth are available.
Qualifications
- Education: NLN accredited school of nursing; BSN strongly preferred.
- Certification: BLS/CPR for Healthcare Provider (AHA) required.
- License: IL RN license active.
- Experience: 1 year acute care or 1 year ISCU experience preferred.
- Unique or Preferred Skills: NICU/ISCU experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in the ISCU.
- Use the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary care.
- Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes and continuity of care.
- Contribute to patient safety and high-quality experiences.
