The Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County is seeking an HMIS Community Engagement and Training Coordinator to drive onboarding of agencies and users, promote HMIS participation, and uphold HUD HMIS Data Standards across the Continuum of Care.
You will train agencies, provide technical assistance, support quarterly POC meetings, and help shape HMIS policy with the CoC, leveraging Asana for project tracking and the LMS for curriculum.
The Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS) of the Office of Homeless Services serves as the Nashville-Davidson County Continuum of Care’s Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) lead agency. The HMIS Community Engagement and Training Coordinator supports the Office of Homeless Services (OHS) by managing agency and user onboarding, strengthening HMIS participation, and ensuring high-quality data practices across the Continuum of Care (CoC). The incumbent serves as a primary system liaison to HMIS Participating Agencies, providing training, technical assistance, and ongoing communication to ensure compliance with HUD HMIS Data Standards and local CoC requirements. The Coordinator also contributes to community engagement efforts, supports HMIS-related evaluation and policy processes, and helps maintain efficient project management within the HMIS team.
The Office of Homeless Services is dedicated to improving efforts to end homelessness by harnessing local data to shape program and system design using a “systems thinking” approach.
Four (4) years of experience providing training, user support, or customer service in a technical or service-oriented environment.
