Job summary

ABB Inc. in Mount Juliet, TN is seeking an IS Services Support professional to define, manage, and monitor processes for IS services across the organization.

You will be a key resource, ensuring knowledge sharing and improving organizational effectiveness. This role applies strong IS infrastructure knowledge to support infrastructure activity within all IS process domains, including PC hardware, software, VOIP, peripherals, and manufacturing equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of
• Experience supporting IS infrastructure across PC hardware, software, VOIP and peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Manage PC lifecycle support including imaging, setup, inventory, and end-user provisioning.
• Configure and manage MFPs and printing solutions (Xerox/Sharp, Zebra label printers, HP lasers).
• Provide onsite IS infrastructure support with off-hours coverage for manufacturing, warehouse and office environments.
• Partner with Network Team to deploy IS solutions/infrastructure on time, within budget, and with quality.
• Occasional lifting of network equipment and travel to Lancaster, TX for support.

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the organization's vision and strategic direction. Each day, you will define, manage, and monitor processes to meet requirements for Information Systems (IS) services by planning, measuring, and improving all aspects of IS services. You will also showcase your expertise by being a key resource, a definitive source of knowledge processes, to contribute to enhancing organizational effectiveness.

This person will apply strong IS infrastructure technology knowledge and expertise to support infrastructure activity within all IS process domains. Support large manufacturing, warehouse and office environments including PC Hardware, Software, Applications, VOIP, Peripherals and help with manufacturing equipment. Provide support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for end users and support teams. This position is an onsite support including Lancaster Tx remote support.

The work model for the role is onsite in our Mount Juliet, TN facility. (#LI-Onsite).

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Manage PC Lifecycle Support: Provide hardware and software support including break/fix, imaging, inventory, post build set up, new user set up, EOL Returns and peripheral installation. This will include management of new and current Samsung / Zebra tablets, as well as equipment used in forklifts like wireless printers. Open Service Now ticket to do request or reports issues and follow up until closure of them.
• Configure and manage MFPs and printing solutions including large MFP devices (Xerox, Sharp), Label Printers (Zebra), and small use laser printers (HP).
• Ensure Manufacturing Excellence: Supports manufacturing environment, support technologies required for continued business operations including required off-hour support and on call rotation.
• Partner with Network Team to Support the installation of new IS solutions/services in regards of the required infrastructure, or the changing or troubleshoot of existing IS solutions/services. When involved, delivers the appropriate IS solution/service infrastructure on time, on budget and quality.
• People leadership and Development: Provides leadership to temporary work teams, guiding and monitoring task completion, sharing expert knowledge and advice normally without carrying line responsibility.
• May require lifting and installation of network equipment (less than 40 pounds).
• May require the user of Scissor Lift or ladders to install network / cables.
• May require working Saturdays and off hours with previous coordination.
• May require travelling to Lancaster, Tx for support.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field; background in Automation, Electronics, or IT is a plus.
