Job summary

ABB in Mount Juliet, TN seeks an IS End User Support specialist to drive hardware/software troubleshooting, imaging, and user setup for manufacturing environments. You’ll support PCs, printers, and peripheral devices, and work with network teams to deploy IS solutions.

On-site role with occasional travel for Lancaster, TX support. Requirements include a BS in Engineering or related field, 3+ years in enterprise End User support, and experience with Office 365, Windows 11, and labelling software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field; Automation, Electronics, or IT background a plus.
• 3+ years enterprise End User support; proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Windows 11 support.
• Solid networking, server infra knowledge; programming or scripting in IT environment.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and factory IT; familiarity with label printing software.

Responsibilities

• Manage PC Lifecycle Support: hardware/software break-fix, imaging, inventory, end-user setup, EOL returns, peripheral installs.
• Configure and manage MFPs and printers (Xerox, Sharp, Zebra, HP).
• Provide off-hours and on-call support; maintain manufacturing continuity.
• Collaborate with Network Team to deploy IS solutions; ensure on-time delivery within budget.
• Lead temporary teams and share expertise; lift/light installation of network equipment; travel as needed.

This position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the organization’s vision and strategic direction. Each day, you will define, manage, and monitor processes to meet requirements for Information Systems (IS) services by planning, measuring, and improving all aspects of IS services. You will also showcase your expertise by being a key resource, a definitive source of knowledge processes, to contribute to enhancing organizational effectiveness.

This person will apply strong IS infrastructure technology knowledge and expertise to support infrastructure activity within all IS process domains. Support large manufacturing, warehouse and office environments including PC Hardware, Software, Applications, VOIP, Peripherals and help with manufacturing equipment. Provide support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for end users and support teams. This position is an onsite support including Lancaster Tx remote support.

The work model for the role is onsite in our Mount Juliet, TN facility. ().

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Manage PC Lifecycle Support: Provide hardware and software support including break/fix, imaging, inventory, post build set up, new user set up, EOL Returns and peripheral installation. This will include management of new and current Samsung / Zebra tablets, as well as equipment used in forklifts like wireless printers. Open Service Now ticket to do request or reports issues and follow up until closure of them.
• Configure and manage MFPs and printing solutions including large MFP devices (Xerox, Sharp), Label Printers (Zebra), and small use laser printers (HP).
• Ensure Manufacturing Excellence: Supports manufacturing environment, support technologies required for continued business operations including required off-hour support and on call rotation.
• Partner with Network Team to Support the installation of new IS solutions/services in regards of the required infrastructure, or the changing or troubleshoot of existing IS solutions/services. When involved, delivers the appropriate IS solution/service infrastructure on time, on budget and quality.
• People leadership and Development: Provides leadership to temporary work teams, guiding and monitoring task completion, sharing expert knowledge and advice normally without carrying line responsibility.
• May require lifting and installation of network equipment (less than 40 pounds).
• May require the user of Scissor Lift or ladders to install network / cables.
• May require working Saturdays and off hours with previous coordination.
• May require travelling to Lancaster, Tx for support.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field; background in Automation, Electronics, or IT is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an enterprise End User support role, with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and hands‑on Windows 11 support experience.
• Solid understanding of networking topology, concepts, and server infrastructure, combined with experience in programming or scripting within an IT environment.
• Experience with manufacturing processes, procedures, and factory IT environments, including label printing software such as Bartender, Loftware, or NiceLabel.
• Strong sense of personal accountability, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a demanding environment.
• Commitment to upholding ABB's Code of Conduct, policies, and standards (including EPPs), ensuring contractors and vendors operate in full alignment with ABB's values and ways of working.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent Continuous Improvement certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Spanish language at an intermediate level is a plus.
• Candidates must already possess authorization to work for ABB in the US.
