Job summary

Astronics Test Systems in Irvine, CA is seeking a Production Test Engineer 2 to develop and implement cost-effective testing methods for standard and custom products. You will create TPS software, fixtures, and documentation while training technicians and supporting engineering efforts.

The role requires 4+ years in a high-tech test environment, BSEE, and proficiency in C#, LabVIEW, and Visual BASIC. California compensation is estimated and a drug/background check are required.

Qualifications

• Four or more years’ design or test engineering experience in a high technology environment is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of circuit theory and programming in test languages such as C#, Visual BASIC and LabVIEW.

Responsibilities

• Support development and testing of Digital and Analog Hardware.
• Support and maintain existing Factory ATE software.
• Configure and maintain PCs for ATE environment.
• Utilize TestStand, C, C++, C#, and LabVIEW to run TPS.
• Design, develop, and support test procedures and software for production test environment.
• Oversees design and construction of electromechanical test fixtures for prototype and production testing.
• Create bills of material, engineering and assembly drawings and documentation.
• Train production test technicians and customer service technicians in test procedures, software and hardware.
• Provide support to Customer Service for returned products, including fault analysis and corrective action recommendations.
