Job summary

Iris Technology Corporation in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing/Production Engineer to lead development and delivery of space electronics hardware, including FPIEs and CCEs. You will own Travelers and Buildbooks, advance production and test procedures, and ensure AS9100 compliance across manufacturing operations.

This hands-on role works with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Program Management to improve processes, support flight hardware builds, and train teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years electronics manufacturing or production engineering in aerospace or regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 quality standards and compliance.
• Hands-on PCB assembly, electronics integration, and test experience.
• Experience maintaining production documentation (Travelers, SWIs, Buildbooks).
• Ability to train others and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain Travelers and Buildbooks for production and testing.
• Define, update, and optimize build and test procedures.
• Enforce AS9100 requirements and manufacturing documentation compliance.
• Provide hands-on lab support during assembly, integration, and testing.
• Collaborate with Quality, Operations, and Program Management to resolve non-conformances.
• Drive continuous improvement to boost efficiency and consistency.
• Interface with Design Engineering on manufacturability feedback.
• Support vendor-related issues affecting schedules and processes.
• Develop scalable manufacturing documentation and training materials.
