Job summary

The Ymca Of Greater Indianapolis is seeking a Part Time Program Instructor at the Avon location. You will provide quality leadership and supervision in aerobic and/or fitness classes, creating a safe, non-competitive environment for members.

The role emphasizes ability to learn and demonstrate aerobic choreography, maintain current wellness certifications or obtain them within 60–90 days, and communicate directions clearly to participants while ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• Experience leading group exercise is preferred.
• A minimum of 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of basic exercise science and fitness class leadership is preferred.
• Ability to learn and successfully demonstrate aerobic choreography.
• Verbally provide clear concise directions and visually inspect classroom for safety.
• Maintain current certifications in CPR AED, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention, New Employee Orientation and other wellness department and designated Branch training, or the ability to obtain within 60-90 days of employment.
