Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking an Irrigation Technician to install and maintain irrigation systems for parks, campuses, and green spaces. The role involves operating trenchers and soil compactors, performing seasonal start ups and winterizations, and documenting repairs.

The ideal candidate will have 1–5 years of irrigation experience, a valid driver’s license, and a TCEQ Irrigator’s Tech license is preferred. Pay ranges from $25 to $27 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years landscape irrigation experience required.
• Knowledge of communication cable and radio systems preferred.
• Understanding of irrigation controller hardware and two-wire systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed irrigation inspections and document repairs.
• Excavate, trench, backfill, and compact soil safely.
• Install/repair valves, sprinklers, and controllers; adjust nozzles.
• Perform start-up, winterization, and water-saving upgrades.
• Train and mentor junior staff on irrigation topics.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and jobsite in safe condition.
• Record materials and labor for each job; follow PPE rules.
