Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking an Irrigation Technician to install and maintain irrigation systems across parks, gardens, and various green spaces. The role involves operating heavy equipment such as trenchers and soil compactors and performing seasonal startups and winterizations.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years of irrigation experience, a TCEQ Irrigator's Tech license, and a valid driver’s license. Training is offered and pay is negotiable.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years landscape irrigation experience required.
• Knowledge of mechanical fittings and mechanical gate valves.
• Understanding of irrigation controller hardware.
• Two-wire system experiences.
• Knowledge of brass valve rebuild preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect irrigation systems and document repairs.
• Clean water features and maintain equipment.
• Excavate and trench using hand tools.
• Backfill and compact soil after work.
• Install and program conventional/smart controllers.
• Install rain sensors and flow meters.
• Record materials and labor for each job.
• Wear appropriate PPE and follow safety rules.
