Job summary

BrightView Landscapes in California is seeking an Irrigation Technician to install and maintain irrigation systems for parks, gardens, and other green spaces, and to operate trenchers and soil compactors as needed. You will install controllers, sensors, valves, program controllers, perform seasonal startups and winterizations, and troubleshoot electrical issues.

A clean driving record, 1–5 years irrigation experience, and a TCEQ Irrigator's Tech license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–5 years irrigation experience.
• Knowledge of irrigation controllers, valves, rain sensors, and flow meters.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• TCEQ Irrigator’s Tech license is preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 100 lbs.
• Basic understanding of electrical irrigation troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain irrigation systems for parks and landscapes.
• Program conventional and smart controllers and sensors.
• Repair valves, mains, and lateral lines as needed.
• Diagnose electrical irrigation issues using a multimeter.
• Operate trenchers and soil compactors and maintain safe work areas.
• Record materials and labor for each job.
