Job summary

BrightView Landscapes, LLC is seeking an experienced irrigation technician to conduct detailed irrigation inspections, repair and upgrade systems, and maintain water features on outdoor landscape projects.

The role requires 1–5 years of irrigation experience, a TCEQ Irrigator's Tech license, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to safety. You will mentor junior staff, install controllers, repair valves, trench and install piping, and ensure clean, hazard-free job sites.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years prior landscape irrigation experience required.
• Knowledge of irrigation controller hardware.
• Two wire system experiences.
• Knowledge of brass valve rebuild preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• TCEQ Irrigator's Tech license is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed irrigation inspections documenting repairs.
• Clean decorative water features.
• Excavate and trench using shovels and other excavation hand tools.
• Backfill and compact to minimize spoils and settling.
• Maintain work areas and jobsite in clean, safe condition at all times.
• Maintain vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean, organized condition.
• Train and mentor personnel in lower positions on irrigation topics.
• Adjust sprinklers and replace components including check valves and PRS.
• Install conventional and HE nozzles and know precipitation rates.
• Solvent weld PVC connections per standards.
• Repair lateral lines and mainlines up to 6 inches.
• Replace irrigation valves and rebuild valves on request.
• Conduct annual start up inspections and drip conversions.
• Perform winterizations for seasonal markets.
• Install and program controllers (conventional and smart).
• Install rain sensors, soil moisture sensors, and flow meters.
