Job summary

BrightView Landscapes, LLC is seeking an Irrigation Technician to install and maintain irrigation systems for diverse outdoor spaces. The role requires operating heavy equipment and performing detailed inspections, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The candidate should have 1–5 years of irrigation experience, knowledge of controllers, valves, and sensors, and a valid driver’s license. Training is available and pay is negotiable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-5 years prior landscape irrigation experience required.
• Knowledge of communication cable and radio communication/hardware experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical fittings and mechanical gate valves.
• Understanding of irrigation controller hardware.
• Two wire system experiences.
• Knowledge of brass valve rebuild preferred.
• Resourceful, learns quickly and has a desire for knowledge.
• Self-starter.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed irrigation inspections documenting repairs.
• Clean decorative water features.
• Excavate and trench using shovels and other excavation hand tools.
• Backfill and compact in clean manner to minimize spoils and settling.
• Maintain work areas and jobsite in clean, safe condition.
• Train and mentor personnel on technical irrigation topics.
• Adjust sprinklers and replace sprinklers incl. check valves.
• Install conventional and HE nozzles; know precipitation rates.
• Repair lateral lines and mainlines as needed (up to 6 inches).
• Install and program controllers (conventional and smart).
• Install rain sensors, soil moisture sensors and flow meters.
