Job summary

Bluestar Resort & Golf in Peoria, AZ is seeking an Irrigation Technician 1 to manage system components and watering schedules for landscaped areas. This mid-level role works under the Foreman and Irrigation Manager to support daily tasks and ensure efficient irrigation operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months to 2 years irrigation experience preferred.
• Ability to operate irrigation timers and perform minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for irrigation system components and watering schedules in landscaped areas.
• Follow directions from Foreman, Irrigation Manager, and Superintendents.
• Anticipate water requirements based on weather and plant needs.
• Maintain safety and use required PPE.
• Report unsafe conditions or accidents to supervisor.
• Collect water meter readings and log data.
• Identify and correct irrigation performance issues and communicate repairs.
• Keep up-to-date as-built documents and maps.
