Job summary

The City of Cedar Park is seeking an Irrigation Technician to maintain and repair irrigation systems across city parks and facilities. You will manage central control systems, perform inspections, fix leaks, and ensure winter readiness of water features.

Requirements include a high school diploma, two years of general maintenance experience, a TCEQ Irrigation License within 90 days, and a valid Texas driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of general maintenance experience required.
• TCEQ Irrigation License within 90 days of appointment.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Knowledge of maintenance of parks and related facilities.
• Ability to operate standard maintenance equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage irrigation Central Control system and perform seasonal adjustments.
• Conduct irrigation inspections and audits; audits 2–3 times per year.
• Maintenance and repair of sprinklers and irrigation lines.
• Repair leaks and maintain water features and fountains in City parks.
• Inspect and repair irrigation clocks, sensors, and backflow devices.
• Install, maintain, and repair park facilities including gates, valves, and fixtures.
• Coordinate with contractors and city staff; document work and weather-ready preparations.
