SolveNow Inc. is seeking an Irrigation Pump Station Mechanic in The Villages, FL. You will install, service, and repair pumps, motors, and related equipment, and work with 240/480 AC/DC control systems and SCADA for monitoring.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, detail orientation, safety consciousness, and the ability to read blueprints and follow instructions. You must lift up to 80 pounds and maintain accurate service records.

Qualifications

• Experience with installing, repairing, and maintaining pumps, motors, and related equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and written instructions.
• Experience with 240/480 AC/DC control systems.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and data interpretation.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and use power tools.

Responsibilities

• Installs, overhauls, repairs, and maintains pumps, motors, engines, meters, and valves.
• Revamps pump stations and maintains 240/480V electrical control panels.
• Maintains well motors and AC/DC control systems; uses power tools.
• Keeps service records and reviews work orders for priority and completeness.
• Participates in safe practices, including confined space entries.

About the job Irrigation Pump Station Mechanic

Qualifications:

• Reliable, mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to solve problems independently. Knowledge of methods and techniques used in the installation, repair, and maintenance of a wide variety of electrical motors, pumps, and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to make inspections to determine operating conditions and needed repairs for pumping equipment.
• Ability to work from blueprints, pencil sketches, or written and oral instructions.
• Ability to use a variety of mechanic's tools and shop equipment in the installation, repair, and maintenance of pump station equipment.
• Knowledge of 240/480 AC/DC control systems.
• Ability to read for comprehension.
• Ability to interpret and utilize a SCADA system.

Responsibilities:

Installs, overhauls, repairs, services, and maintains equipment such as, but not limited to, pumps, motors, gas and diesel engines, meters, gauges, compressors, blowers, valves, and backchecks. Revamps pump stations and maintains 240/480 electrical system control panels. Maintains well motors and AC/DC control systems. Works with power tools. Paints equipment as required. Checks and adjusts equipment. Maintains service records. Perform and participate in safe practices of confined space entries. Submits requisitions for equipment and materials and reviews work orders for priority, clarity, and completeness. Distributes and completes work orders (CMMS) to appropriate personnel. Ability to lift up to 80 pounds. Performs other related duties as required.
