Job summary

Corning Inc. is seeking a production associate to load and unload pallets for sterilization, following SOPs and scheduling constraints. The role focuses on dosimetry placement, queue management, and ensuring efficient production flow in a sterilization environment.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and 6–12 months of manufacturing/warehouse experience, plus the ability to operate forklifts and assist with irradiator operations. Safety gear and PPE are mandatory.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• 6 to 12 months of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Transfer non-sterile product to the product pallet loader using a forklift for irradiation, following loading diagrams.
• Inspect, place, and document product dosimeters throughout each lot.
• Safely operate the irradiator, conveyors, and irradiation support systems.
• Count and record the number of cases loaded and unloaded according to procedures.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Assist the Irradiator Operator with routine safety and operational checks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Irradiator Operations area.
• Ensure proper product and lot segregation in pre-sterile and post-sterile staging areas.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and totes.
• Work under the direction of the Shift Irradiator Operator.
• Participate in special projects within the department or other areas as required.
• Adhere to safety, environmental, and Quality System procedures at all times.
