Mass General Brigham Home Care, Inc. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join the patient care team.

The role involves providing clinical respiratory care to critically ill patients, initiating and adjusting therapies, and collaborating with physicians and nurses to optimize patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor's preferred), current BLS, NBRC credentials, and Massachusetts licensure.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• BLS certification preferred.
• NBRC credentials preferred.
• Massachusetts license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and/or assists with respiratory tests and procedures, as ordered, to deliver appropriate care to patients.
• Responds to respiratory emergencies and transports mechanically ventilated patients when moved for tests and procedures.
• Prepares appropriate care plan, and makes specific recommendations to physician for indicated therapy.
• Schedules patient treatments as necessary and provides consultation as an active member of the patient care team.
• Manages the administration of all aspects of respiratory therapy according to policies and procedures.
• Participates in education of students, physicians, staff, and patients/families.

Analyzes and evaluates clinical patient data to determine the appropriate therapy or interventions and makes recommendations on patient care plans to the medical staff.Does this position require Patient Care?
