Job summary

TEC Industrial in Kingsport, TN is seeking an experienced Iron Worker to join our field team. You will lay out, assemble, rig, weld, and install metal structures based on blueprints, ensuring safety and quality on site.

Applicants should have 3+ years of industrial experience, be able to work outdoors, at height, and with scaffolding, ladders, and rigging. This role requires commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years manufacturing, industrial, or field experience.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Capable of reading blueprints and following supervisor instructions.
• Must follow site safety policies and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the layout of the project and assemble metal frames and structures.
• Rig work for crane movement and erect scaffolding and hoisting equipment.
• Align, weld or bolt steel units in place and adjust welding machines as needed.
• Identify hazards, follow safety rules, and work from blueprints.
• Work at heights on beams, ladders, and scaffolding; use hand/power tools safely.
