Job summary

Trillium Construction in Brownsville, TX seeks Ironworkers to erect launch pads and structural steel. You will read blueprints, read and interpret erection plans, and secure steel members with bolts, welds, and other approved methods, while working at heights with fall-protection systems.

Requires 5+ years of experience, OSHA 10, and lift certifications. Pay is $35/hour with a $150/day per diem for all seven days; schedule is Mon-Sat, 70+ hours per week, outdoors in demanding conditions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ironworking experience.
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• Scissor lift / aerial lift certification preferred.
• Pre-employment screenings.
• NCCER Ironworker certification preferred.
• Welding experience preferred.
• Rigging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Erect and install structural steel, beams, columns, braces, platforms, stairs, handrails, ladders, and support frames.
• Read and interpret structural drawings, blueprints, erection plans, weld maps, and rigging plans.
• Connect steel members using high-strength bolts, pins, welds, and other approved fastening methods.
• Work at heights using aerial lifts, elevated work platforms, and fall-protection systems.
• Perform steel fit-up, alignment, leveling, plumb-up, and dimensional adjustments.
• Work outdoors in demanding conditions and around large-scale construction equipment.
