TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking skilled ironworkers in Mississippi (Vicksburg area) to lay out, install, assemble and erect steel per blueprints. The role involves reading plans, cutting and welding steel, and coordinating with crane operators for heavy lifting.

The ideal candidate has blueprint literacy, tool proficiency, physical endurance for outdoor and elevated work, and the ability to work overtime as needed. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent with prior field experience.
• Must have working knowledge and abilities for the position.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management.

Responsibilities

• Read specs or blueprints to determine material requirements.
• Fabricate metal parts per blueprints/instructions.
• Unload and position prefabricated steel units and hoist beams with cranes.
• Verify alignment of structural steel members using plumb bobs, lasers, or levels.
• Cut, bend, or weld steel pieces using torches or welding equipment.
• Position structural steel accurately for final assembly by turning, bolting or welding.
