Caterpillar Inc. in Grand Junction, CO is seeking an Iron Technician I to join our operations team. The role involves assembling and testing mechanical components and supporting the disassemble phase under SOP guidelines. This on-site position is five days a week with no relocation or sponsorship offered.

The role offers hands-on experience with flow control products, inspection prep, and basic NDT trainee opportunities, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Iron Technicians during the disassemble phase.
• Clean, strip and inspect flow control components.
• Prepare flow control products for Gauging, Ultra Sonic, and MPI inspections.
• Demonstrate disassemble of flow control products per SOP.
• Identify SPM and Customer product.
• Assemble flow control product.
• Nondestructive Testing Trainee (NDT Trainee).
• Manifold tear down/rebuild trainee.
• Maintain and monitor shop tools and work area.
• Monitor daily work activities to ensure requirements are met.
